   Hi all
Just a beginer, and I am just expermenting, my problem, I created a male simm wearing a dress, but when other simms see him in a dress they treat him as normal how do i do i get them to reconize him as a male in a dress?

	Sims can recognize clothing types (formal, swimwear, undies, nude) but do not recognize clothing genders. They also don't recognize clothing that is listed in a different catagory i.e. swimwear listed as formal wear the sims will accept it as formalwear. The AI in the Sims does leave something to be desired but that is why certain hacks are so popular.

	Sims are pretty accepting. The only things they really get mad about is when you turn their kids into werewolves or vampires, steal their newspapers or have affairs. edit: ESPECIALLY the newspaper bit. My latest attempt at a Legacy sim is gonna be recovering from those injuries for a good while.

	Jane as far as I know, the sims, unlike people in the real world, have far fewer hangups and prejudices, including giving a reaction to someone crossdressing. Like children, I guess you'll have to teach them to hate and ridicule others. oxo Ronnie

	Jane, first of all, welcome to Simmergirl's site! We're glad to see you here and nice to see new posters! (Never mind the elbow I'm giving my co-moderator Ronnie in her simulated-ribs for not welcoming you in her post like moderators are supposed to do...) You brought up an interesting point that I remember from Sims1 but have never seen in Sims2. Back in Sims1, I could have sworn the other sims "knew" the first time I had male sims wear dresses because the first couple times they went downtown, other male sims would walk up to them and immediately go into "tease" mode where they would point and laugh at my sims. (Those were the first downtown sims to have a little visit to my Sims1 surgery clinic...mwahaha!)
