   Looking for modifications and hacks to enhance your game play?  You're in the right place!
This will be a growing list of mods & hacks to help you get the most out of playing Sims2, with an emphasis on helping your sim guys live as girls.  Feel free to add your suggestions and I'll update the list as we go.
Mods & Hacks:
The Insimenator is the number one, ultimate set of tools for your game.  It has more features than it's possible to list here, but those that stand out include being able to change gender behavior, in-game facelifts, pregnancy options (for male & female), and extensive wardrobe changing abilities.  (If you only have the base game though, you should use this version here)
The hacked-dresser at MTS2 let's your sims "buy" new clothing without spending money through it's "Dig Out" option.  It's based on the idea that we all have more than 1 outfit of each type in our dressers and closets.
A website with some very useful hacked objects is http://www.simchaotics.com/ where you can find, among other things, a mind-control mirror to take charge of varoius sims and npcs, and end table dressers that look like an end table, function like one (put stuff on it), take up 1-tile, and are also dressers!  
For those looking for ways to change their sims last names, especially for different options when married/joined, check out this hack at MTS2, Marriage: Last Name Chooser by Marhis.
A good place to find hacked objects is Paladin's Place - SimWardrobe.  Paladin has hacks for every EP including Seasons.
Other Interesting Stuff:
If you have a Buffy sim and want a nice version of "The Little Red Axe That Could" and/or a sword, I finally tracked down where I found those ... they're both by g3tbo at MTS2 and can be found here.  
There's a very pretty, diamond necklace made just for guys at PeggySims2 that you can find here.
For folks in a creating mood, you might need to brighten up BodyShop which by default is awfully dark - check out this mod here by wes_h at MTS2 to change the lighting.
