Well, maybe this is a bit... eh... far fetched? ...and maybe even old-news? ...or maybe I put too much into this?.
But it's fun to see that the TV spot for The Sims 3 Console has a transgendered theme.
Something like "be whatever or whoever you want"

See it here:

I did laugh. Amusing. A continuation of fake it till you make it, sort of. Sim(ulation)s (1,2,3)  is fun as always.

Yeah it was funny. But I think the time is moving towards the point that we don't get exited just for having commercials and casual mentions of transgendered issues.  I realize that I'm not right there, right now, yet ...but it's coming closer :-|

As long as there are RepugnantCONs (the holier than thou, who later are found to be more evil than thou) there will be misCONceptions about tv/tg people. On Huffington Post, which I now refer to as AOLpo, since AOL bought it, there was an article about the political correctness of the word "tranny", like that was such a major hurdle to overcome. They do have an LGBT section and some of that is worth reading. Much of the content at AOLpo is a disappointment, overly dramatised to elicit comment, and too trendy, IMHO, but the opportunity for some (stilted, online,) "discussion" is presented there.
Be well.
Happy New Year!
