I noticed that I had to register twice to login. Thought that I was member #5. Then about a week ago I couldn't login. Had to register again under the same name. Hope it holds this time.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with our new site . We're using brand-new forum software that is unfamiliar to many of us, and we're kind of learning as we go. Unfortunately, most of us don't have the time on our hands that we need to get everything working properly.
But not being able to register is a BIG priority,because what's the use of a forum if people can't participate...?
Okay, I just tried creating a new account and did so without a bit of trouble. Please try again, and if you have a problem, report it and I'll see what I can do about changing the system, if I can...
In the meantime, not to sound like a tech-support person, you might want to try the following:
Clear out your temporary internet files, cookies, etc.
Check to see if your caps lock is on when entering the validation code.
Use a different browser to register (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera) to register...I use Firefox myself).
Be sure to let me know your progress. That goes for everyone who's having trouble. You can post here, I check in several times daily...
