What's new
This site has been around for a long time and was in desperate need of an upgrade. The content is the same as before but here's the main changes:- New layout and removal of unused functionality
- New technology with less clutter, more standards better availability
- New useful functions like RSS and integration with facebook and twitter.
- Direct downloads - unfortunately this removes the counters and advanced access control - but users may take advantage of download helpers
- Downloads integrated with forum - below the downloads you will se a link where you may say thanks, rate it or leave a comment.
- The software has many new functions and more updated filters
I wrote this in another post, and thought it was quite descriptive of the changes:
...when it comes down to the basics it's really a house-renovation:
All the [old-but-treasured] content's still here (in the attic -just a bit more organized).The house is better equipped, fundamented and has more modern appliances. The bugs got cleaned out, for now, but watch out: the rats are lurking outside in the yard just waiting to get in and fill th kitchen with spam. We just have to be better prepared and do some new chores and have a few new routines to reduce the risk and take care of them as soon as it appears....
